The peoples of Europe, in creating an ever closer union among them, are resolved to share a peaceful future based on common values. Conscious of its spiritual and moral heritage, the Union is founded on the indivisible, universal values of human dignity, freedom, equality and solidarity; it is based on the principles of democracy and the rule of law. ···

유럽의 인민들은 서로 한층 가까운 연합을 만들어, 공통 가치에 기반을 둔 평화적 미래를 공유하자고 결의한다. 연합의 정신적 도덕적 유산을 자각하며, 연합은 인간 존엄성, 자유, 평등 그리고 연대라는 불가분하고 보편적인 가치들 위에 설립된다. 연합은 민주주의와 법치라는 원칙에 기반을 둔다.

Right to the integrity of the person
1. Everyone has the right to respect for his or her physical and mental integrity.
2. In the fields of medicine and biology, the following must be respected in particular:
(a) the free and informed consent of the person concerned, according to the procedures laid down by law;
(b) the prohibition of eugenic practices, in particular those aiming at the selection of persons;
(c) the prohibition on making the human body and its parts as such a source of financial gain;
(d) the prohibition of the reproductive cloning of human beings.

개인의 동일성유지권
1. 모든 이는 신체적 정신적 동일성을 존중받을 권리를 지닌다.
2. 의료와 생물학 분야에서, 다음 사항들이 특히 존중돼야 한다.
(a) 적법한 절차에 따라 당사자에게 충분히 고지된 상태의 자유로운 동의
(b) 우생학 실험 금지, 특히 특정인을 선택할 목적으로 하는 실험 금지
(c) 인간 신체나 그 일부를 돈벌이 수단으로 삼는 행위 금지
(d) 인간 복제 금지

Prohibition of slavery and forced labour
1. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude.
2. No one shall be required to perform forced or compulsory labour.
3. Trafficking in human beings is prohibited.

노예 노동과 강제 노동 금지
1. 어떤 이도 노예 상태에 처해서는 안 된다.
2. 어떤 이도 강요되거나 강제된 노동을 수행해서는 안 된다.
3. 인신매매는 금지된다.

Protection of personal data
1. Everyone has the right to the protection of personal data concerning him or her.
2. Such data must be processed fairly for specified purposes and on the basis of the consent of the person concerned or some other legitimate basis laid down by law. Everyone has the right of access to data which has been collected concerning him or her, and the right to have it rectified.
3. Compliance with these rules shall be subject to control by an independent authority

사적인 자료 보호
1. 모든 이에게는 자신과 관련한 사적인 자료를 보호받을 권리가 있다.
2. 그 자료는 뚜렷한 목적에 부합해야 하고 당사자의 동의나 다른 적법한 기반 위에서 공정하게 처리돼야 한다.
3. 이 규칙을 준수하는 것은 독립적 권한의 통제를 따라야 한다.

Right to property
1. Everyone has the right to own, use, dispose of and bequeath his or her lawfully acquired possessions. No one may be deprived of his or her possessions, except in the public interest and in the cases and under the conditions provided for by law, subject to fair compensation being paid in good time for their loss. The use of property may be regulated by law insofar as is necessary for the general interest.
2. Intellectual property shall be protected.

재산권
1. 모든 이는 적법하게 획득한 소유물에 대한 소유권, 사용권, 처분권 그리고 상속권을 지닌다. 공적 이익을 위해서거나 법이 정한 조건에 따른 경우가 아니면, 어느 누구도 그의 소유물을 뺏으면 안 되며, 소유물 손실이 발생하면 그에 대한 적절한 보상이 적절한 시기에 취해져야 한다. 재산 사용은 일반적 이익에 필요한 한에서 법의 규제를 받는다.
2. 지적 재산권은 보호돼야 한다.

Equality before the law
Everyone is equal before the law.
Non-discrimination
1. Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited.
2. Within the scope of application of the Constitution and without prejudice to any of its specific provisions, any discrimination on grounds of nationality shall be prohibited.

1. 성, 인종, 피부색, 민족적 사회적 출신, 유전 형질, 언어, 종교나 믿음, 정치적 의견이나 여타 의견, 소수 민족의 신분, 재산, 출생, 장애, 나이 또는 성적 취향에 기반을 둔 어떠한 차별도 금지된다.
2. 헌법의 효력이 미치는 범위 내에서 그리고 헌법의 세부 규정에 침해됨이 없이 국적에 기반을 둔 어떠한 차별도 금지된다.
